  1. 1Assign a plan to each vehicle. Diesel, petrol or electric: the fluids, brakes, battery, engine and tyre categories are ready; you adjust the intervals.
  2. 2Set the alert thresholds. Each vehicle signal has its severity, its threshold and its routing: notification to the driver, to the manager or an email summary (telematics alerts).
  3. 3Handle it from the dashboard. The maintenance tab gathers deadlines, acknowledged alerts and vehicles off the road; the intervention goes to a partner or in-house garage.

The aim: to act before the breakdown, instead of repairing after the vehicle is off the road. Dadycar relies on adjustable thresholds and plans by category.

What is the difference between preventive and predictive maintenance?

Preventive maintenance follows a fixed interval, for example every 20,000 km or every 12 months. Predictive maintenance adds the vehicle's real signals (service announced by the control unit, warning light, fault code) to trigger the intervention at the right moment. Dadycar combines both in the same plan.

Which signals does a connected vehicle report for maintenance?

With a GPS-OBD device or a connected manufacturer vehicle, Dadycar monitors in particular: next service (km or date), engine warning light, DTC codes, 12 V battery and battery health, engine and oil temperatures, oil level and pressure, brake fluid, tyre pressure and temperature per wheel. Each signal has a configurable threshold.

How often must a fleet vehicle pass its roadworthiness test?

For cars and light commercial vehicles, a first test no later than 4 years after first registration, then every 2 years. Light commercial vehicles also undergo an emissions check between two periodic tests (French ministry for ecological transition). Dadycar tracks these deadlines in the Reminders module.

Do you need a device to anticipate fleet maintenance?

No. Date-based and mileage-based plans use odometer readings, entered manually or reported automatically. The device or connected manufacturer vehicle adds fault codes, warning lights, pressures and battery condition, which makes the alerts earlier and more precise.

How do you manage the servicing of electric vehicles in a fleet?
