France's annual company car taxes (formerly TVS): 2026 simulator
In 2026, a car assigned to a French business pays two annual taxes: one on its CO2 emissions, worked out band by band, and one on air pollutants of €0, €130 or €650 depending on its category. Both are prorated to the days the car is assigned. Example: 100 g/km WLTP, recent gasoline car, all year: €213 + €130 = €343.

The 2026 CO2 scale (WLTP)
Each emissions band is taxed at its own rate; you add up the bands up to the vehicle's emissions.
| CO2 emissions (g/km) | Rate per gram |
|---|---|
| Up to 4 | €0 |
| 5 to 45 | €1 |
| 46 to 53 | €2 |
| 54 to 85 | €3 |
| 86 to 105 | €4 |
| 106 to 125 | €10 |
| 126 to 145 | €50 |
| 146 to 165 | €60 |
| 166 and above | €65 |
For 100 g/km: 41 × €1 + 8 × €2 + 32 × €3 + 15 × €4 = €213. Source: entreprendre.service-public.gouv.fr, page F22203 (in French); the €213 example also appears in the BOFiP.
The NEDC scale, for vehicles registered before 1 March 2020
| CO2 emissions (g/km) | Rate per gram |
|---|---|
| Up to 3 | €0 |
| 4 to 37 | €1 |
| 38 to 44 | €2 |
| 45 to 70 | €3 |
| 71 to 87 | €4 |
| 88 to 103 | €10 |
| 104 to 120 | €50 |
| 121 to 136 | €60 |
| 137 and above | €65 |
The 2026 pollutant tax

The rules that change the amount
- Time share: days assigned divided by 365 in 2026. Each tax is rounded to the nearest euro, with €0.50 rounded up. A vehicle at 130 g/km in the most polluting category, assigned for 182 days, pays €665 instead of €1,333.
- Employees' cars reimbursed per kilometer: a coefficient of 0% up to 15,000 km reimbursed, then 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% above 45,000 km.
- €15,000 reduction: it reduces the total of both taxes due on those employees' cars, within the de minimis state aid limit.
- E85 superethanol: 40% off the emissions, except above 250 g/km.
- Short-term rental: a vehicle rented for one calendar month or thirty consecutive days at most in the year is not taxed at the business renting it.
- Exemptions: vehicles running only on electricity or hydrogen, sole proprietorships, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, public passenger transport, driving schools, farming or forestry, VAT-exempt non-profits, motor sport. Hybrids have no longer been exempt since 2025.
Preparing the return without re-entering the fleet
Dadycar does not file your return. It keeps the data it asks for up to date, vehicle by vehicle:
- CO2 emissions, energy and contract on each vehicle record;
- the dates each vehicle joined and left the fleet, for the time share;
- the energy mix of the fleet and the ESG Sustainability tab of the dashboard.

Add up the cost of each emissions band up to the vehicle's level, using the 2026 WLTP scale, then apply the share of days assigned. For 100 g/km all year: €213.
€0 for an electric or hydrogen vehicle, €130 for a category 1 vehicle (gas, hybrid, Euro 5 and 6 gasoline) and €650 for the most polluting vehicles, diesels included, prorated to the time assigned.
No. Their exemption ended on 31 December 2024. Only vehicles running solely on electricity, hydrogen or both remain exempt.
Yes, when the business reimburses them per kilometer. A coefficient applies according to the kilometers reimbursed, zero up to 15,000 km, and a €15,000 reduction then lowers the total due on those cars.
No. Each tax is multiplied by the days assigned divided by 365, then rounded to the nearest euro. A vehicle assigned for 182 days pays about half the annual rate.
