How often must a coach or a bus pass its roadworthiness test?

Vehicles normally used, or exceptionally employed, for the public carriage of passengers are subject to a roadworthiness test renewed every six months (article R323-23 of the French Highway Code).

How often must a vehicle with fewer than 10 seats used for public transport be tested?

The first test takes place at the latest one year after first registration, then it is renewed every year (article R323-24 of the French Highway Code).
