Company vehicle transport: book it and track it
Company vehicle transport means moving a vehicle from one point to another by road: between two sites, to a workshop, at delivery or at return. Dadycar lets you book a transport and find every transfer in a history filterable by vehicle, type, dates and status.
Hosted in the European Union · GDPR · Flotauto 2025 Innovation Award · free up to 50 vehicles, then €6 excl. VAT per vehicle per month
What the Transports module brings
- A request, not a message thread: the transport is booked from the software, attached to a vehicle in the fleet.
- A filterable history: vehicle, type, start date, end date, status.
- In the same place as everything else: the vehicle record, its site, its contracts and its documents are not in another tool.
The movements nobody traces
- The vehicle is not where it should be: a fleet spread over twenty or so sites moves vehicles every week, with no register.
- The return from the workshop drifts: the vehicle is repaired, nobody knows when or how it comes back to its site.
- Delivery and return are settled by phone: the vehicles entering and leaving the fleet move with no written trace.
What you get with Dadycar
The Transports module serves one purpose: that every vehicle movement is requested, tracked and findable.
Book a transport
The request is created from the module, attached to the vehicle concerned, with its start date and its end date.
Transport history
Every transfer stays readable, including several months later, with no old messages to dig up.
Vehicle, type, date and status filters
You isolate what you are looking for: one precise vehicle, a period, or everything not yet closed.
Attached to the vehicle's file
The vehicle being moved keeps its record, its site, its assigned driver and its documents in the same software.
Your suppliers in the same place
The supplier directory gathers garages, body shops, roadworthiness test centres and leasing companies, next to your transports.
Vehicles entering and leaving the fleet
Delivery and return tracking describes the vehicle's cycle; the transport is its physical movement.
How it works
- 1Book the transport. You choose the vehicle, the type of transfer and the dates from the Transports module.
- 2Track its status. The history shows what is under way and what is finished, with your listed suppliers (supplier management).
- 3Realign the fleet after the movement. The vehicle finds its site and its assignment again in the software (employees and sites).
Who it is for
- Service and maintenance teams: constant workshop round trips to trace (see the industry page).
- Construction and site work: vans that follow the sites rather than the depots (see the industry page).
- Multi-site commercial fleets: vehicles to rebalance between branches (see the industry page).
Count your transfers from last month
Bring your latest vehicle movements: in the demo we show what tracking them looks like in Dadycar.
Your questions before getting started
- “We have no dedicated driver for transfers.” The module traces the movement, whoever carries it out: an employee, a garage or an outside provider.
- “Do I need a device?” No. A transport is booked and tracked without telematics; a GPS-OBD device or a connected vehicle then adds the position and the trips.
- “How long does it take to start?” As soon as the fleet is imported, a transport can be booked on any vehicle.
