A telematics-based accident reconstruction provides objective, factual evidence, eliminating doubt and interpretation. It relies on a cross-analysis of several critical data points, captured second-by-second:
The data used
- Speed and GPS Position: Records the vehicle's exact speed before, during, and after the impact, as well as its precise location. Allows for validating or contradicting witness statements about speed.
- G-Forces (Accelerometer): The G-force sensor measures the severity and direction of the impact (frontal, side, rear). This is a key data point for determining the severity of the crash and identifying the point of origin of the collision.
- Pre-Incident Driving Behavior: The system records the driver's actions in the seconds leading up to the accident. Was there emergency braking, a sudden swerve, or an abrupt acceleration? 4. Video Evidence (Dashcam): This is the most powerful element. A connected dashcam provides irrefutable visual proof of the accident's context, the environment, and the actions of other road users.
