The algorithm learns the subtle patterns and trends in the sensor readings that signal an impending event, like a component failure.

For example, a simple vibration sensor becomes part of a 'predictive' system when an AI model learns that a specific increase in a certain vibration frequency consistently precedes a bearing failure.

The sensor just reports the vibration; the AI provides the prediction.

Therefore, the power of a predictive sensor lies in the intelligence of the analytical model interpreting its data, transforming a simple measurement into valuable foresight.
